This is a ‘painting tool’ I created in an introductory course to computational media making, during my time at ITP. The course was taught by Lauren McCarthey.
This tool is a reflection on human-machine collaboration, creating with a pre-programmed behavior of a tool. The design was inspired by Gerhard Richter‘s use of color.
I hope to make a joyful experience that invites contemplation over the passage of time, through the first-hand experience of being limited in controlling changes to our creation.
This tool was coded in javascript using the library p5.js
